Mr. Tyler Polum (Alaska Department of Fish and Game) The applicant’s stated purpose is to restore flows to the Pasagshak River drainage for fish passage and flood reduction of local homes. The project site is located within Section 26, T. 31 S., R. 20 W., Seward Meridian; USGS Quad Map AK-Kodiak B-1 & B-2; Latitude 57.4577º N., Longitude 152.4501º W.; Pasagshak Bay within the Pasagshak River State Recreation Area, near Kodiak, Alaska. The project is located within the Pasagshak River State Recreation Area. PROPOSED WORK: The applicant proposes to dredge up to 133 cubic yards of gravel material from a gravel bar located at the confluence of the Pasagshak River and Pasagshak Bay. The gravel would be dredged from an area up to 100 foot long by 6 foot wide by 6 foot deep below the high tide line (HTL, approximate elevation +10.7 feet above the 0.0 foot contour) and the mean high water mark (MHW, approximate elevation of +7.7 feet elevation above the 0.0 foot contour).
