Delaware Township requests authorization to improve two roads in order to provide safe access to and from the Dakota Plains Dairy Facility located approximately 7 miles northeast of Centerville, South Dakota. Road improvements will occur for 1 mile along 468th Avenue and for 2 miles along 290th Street. Construction will include grading, soil stabilization, gravel surfacing, and drainage improvements along these roads. The improved roads will accommodate larger truck traffic that travels to the existing dairy facility located at the intersection of 290th Street and 467th Avenue, and to the future dairy facility that will be located at the intersection of 290th Street and 468th Avenue. Approximately 3.19 acres of wetlands will be impacted by the project.
