The applicant proposes to widen the FM 106 Extension in Cameron County, Texas

Full Public NoticeProject Plans

The applicant proposes to widen 12 miles of existing roadway to a width of 44 feet. Approximately 1,771 cubic yards of earthen material and concrete would be discharged within waters of the U.S. for this project resulting in the filling of 2.21 acres of wetlands. Due to the potential presence of ocelots that could cross the roadway, culverts and fencing would be placed in 8 locations to create wildlife crossings. No fill is proposed for Crossing 4, which is shown in the project plans.
