INSTALL AND MAINTAIN 3 BRINE WELLS, APPURENTANT STRUCTURES AND PIPELINES IN IBERVILLE PARISH

NAME OF APPLICANT: Shintech Louisiana, LLC, c/o Providence Engineering and Environmental Group, LLC, Attn: Lee Womack, 1201 Main Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802.

LOCATION OF WORK: Located in the White Castle Oil and Gas Field, in White Castle, Louisiana, in Iberville Parish, Lower Grand River Basin, Hydrologic Unit Code 08070300, as shown on the enclosed drawings.

CHARACTER OF WORK: Clear, grade, install and maintain fill for (3) 300 x 400-foot brine well pads and access roads. This will require the placement of approximately 51,321 cubic yards of sand fill material, impacting 8.4 acres of high quality jurisdictional bottomland hardwood wetland habitat. Clearing to install and maintain pipelines and cables using trench and backfill method will be necessary to connect the wells to a brine treatment plant. Approximately 5,193 cubic yards of native material will be excavated and backfilled, impacting 3 acres of high quality jurisdictional bottomland hardwood wetland habitat. The applicant proposes to purchase compensatory mitigation from a Corps approved mitigation bank for the proposed 11.4 acres of wetland impacts.
