Full Public NoticeProject PlansAlternatives AnalysisHydrogeomorphic ModelsMitigation Plans To construct the Phase II raw water storage reservoir project, the applicant proposes to permanently impact 9.53 acres of wetlands and temporarily impact 0.09 acre of wetlands adjacent to the Brazos River. The proposed raw water storage reservoir is sized to contain 595 acre-feet of raw water. Such activities include: • Mechanically excavate approximately 1,055,350 cubic yards of soils (approximately 40 acres of land) to a depth of approximately 29 feet with 4H:1V side slopes at the top of the reservoir for the first 10 feet and transition to 3H:1V. • Discharge clay soils 2 feet deep (approximately 93,310 cubic yards) into the reservoir to serve as a clay liner. • Excavated materials will be disposed of via dump trucks by the construction contractor per contract or by alternate re-use options (such as by agreement with Gulf Coast Water Authority, a levee improvement district).
