PROPOSED ENERGY TRANSMISSION LINE IN CALCASIEU PARISH

NAME OF APPLICANT: Entergy Louisiana, LLC, c/o T. Baker Smith, 412 South Van Avenue, Houma, Louisiana 70363. LOCATION: Starting point of proposed transmission line at Latitude 30.279472, Longitude --93.436327, ending point at Latitude 30.154319, Longitude -93.22354, located near Sulphur, in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. DESCRIPTION: The proposed project consists of the installation of high voltage electrical transmission lines to support the expansion of local industrial facilities. The scope of work consists of installing 156 steel structures to support transmission lines. The proposed right-of-way (ROW) for this transmission line is approximately 24 miles long and covers approximately 594 acres. Several different types of wetlands would be temporarily disturbed during the installation of the line. These types include; wet pasture, wooded wetlands, and marsh. Approximately 63.04 acres of forested wetlands would be permanently impacted along the proposed ROW. Detailed description of project is attached to this Public Notice. The applicant proposes to purchase required credits from an approved mitigation bank to offset any unavoidable losses to wetland functions caused by project implementation.
